11 January 2005, London: Choreology Ltd, the Business Transaction Management (BTM) company, has joined the JBoss Technology Partner program and will deliver application coordination and process synchronization across the open source J2EE application server platform.

Choreology’s Business Transaction Management (BTM) software manages the coordination of loosely-coupled distributed applications across heterogeneous environments. A set of comprehensively documented Java class libraries, it enables operations spanning multiple business services to be coordinated into an outcome of known consistency. Providing coordination at the application rather than the data level, Choreology’s software permits levels of integration and service not previously deemed practical, enabling guaranteed delivery and processing and providing recoverable transaction completion, including support for partial outcomes and cancellation/compensation. This can occur over heterogeneous technical environments within and between organizations and across architectures that span Web Services, J2EE and native standalone deployments as well as supporting BPEL-based business processes.

Choreology has completed the integration of its BTM software with JBoss Application Server 3.2 and support for both JBoss Application Server 3.2 and 4.0 will be available in a subsequent release.

Choreology’s software will allow applications running within the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS), such as JBoss Application Server and JBoss jBPM, to act as coordination points for participating distributed services deployed across heterogeneous environments.
