WS-Transaction
MIB has stated their intent to contribute these specifications to an open standards organization in the near future. We expect them to follow through. WS-AT is a respray of older technology, allowing existing transaction monitors to play in the WS world. We’re much more interested in WS-BA. Choreology attended the WS-Transaction feedback conference in March 2004 and submitted a set of proposals to make WS-BA more capable of becoming the vanguard business transaction standard. We would like to see that happen, because it would save everybody a lot of trouble and grow the business transaction market. What we like about WS-BA:
Notwithstanding their continuing deficiencies, Choreology intends to implement the latest versions of these specifications in a forthcoming release of the Cohesions product. Read our announcement following participation in the first Interoperation Workshop for Web Service Transaction Specifications held on the 18th and 19th January 2005.
